EXTRA LARGE TREBLE HOOK BONNETS
I have been asked by a couple of people about where I got the Extra Large Treble Hook Covers for my larger fishing lures. I just located the online store where I purchased these EXTRA large size treble hook bonnets. I purchased them from an online tackle store called Billfish Tackle Supply. Here is there Web Site : http://www.billfishtacklesupply.com/Hooks/mustad.htm#44 I was mistaken on the size that they cover...the X-Tra Large Treble Hook Bonnets actually cover treble hook size 1/0 - 3/0. They are $2.95 for a package of 10.
On The Mend
It's been several days since my last entry. Over the last several days, I have been resting and then I started to build up my strength and endurance. I have begun my routine of long walks twice a day along with my normal work around the house. Today I went back to the oral surgeon for a followup on my tongue. It has been two weeks since the surgery. I needed to have one stubborn suture removed. I also got the lab results back from the slab of tongue that was sent in. I say "slab" of tongue but actually it was not that big of a section but the wound to my tongue was a heck of a lot bigger than what they removed. The lab result came back as expected...it was identical to the results from the biopsy. The most important thing is that the oral surgeon removed all of the "bad" areas in my tongue and that all I would need to do is come back to him or my family doctor once a year to check up and make sure nothing returns. I ended up with the best possible results for the given situation. I'll tell you what...I never ever want to have to go through any type of tongue sugery again. I am about 90% back to normal. I figure that I will be back to normal in about a week. Now I can start to really look foward to going to Canada and doing some fishing....YES!!!!!!!
Frustration Abounds
It has been a really rough last several days on the health front. Saturday I felt well enough to mow the front yard and Sunday I did the back yard. This was only 4 days after my surgery. Monday I went for my morning walk. By Monday afternoon, things started catching up to me. I think that I pushed things a little too quickly...just trying too hard to get my life back to normal. These last couple of months have been extremely frustrating for me. It seems that as soon as I start feeling a little better and start being a little more active, something happens and I find myself further back than when I started. That old saying...one step fowards, 2 steps back....comes to mind. My tongue is doing better. It seems that where the suture line is on my tongue, lines up perfectly to where the top ridge line of my molars are. Everytime I talk, my tongue seems to rub over the jagged edges of my molar teeth. This really irritates my tongue and I am sure that it slows down the healing process. Lately my throat and ear, both on the right side, have been hurting. After having a rough night last night, I decided to just totally take it easy today. I might to give my body a break over the next couple of days. I think that this surgery took more out of me than I would like to admit. I go to the oral surgeon next Tuesday so that he can take a look at my tongue, to make sure everything is healing well. I am so used to being "on the move" that relaxing and not doing a darn thing is really hard for me to do. Hopefully I will have better days to come, in the near future.
