Visitor In Our Front Yard

Yesterday afternoon and into the early evening, we had a visitor hanging out in our front yard. I am not sure what was going on with this rabbit but she did not move from one spot for about 3 hours, then moved a foot closer to the driveway for an hour or so and when it got dark she disappeared. We figured that she was either getting ready to give birth or was injured.

Neat. A couple come by my yard periodically while I am out fussing around. A couple of cats, also. We have very enlightening conversations.

What an adorable bunny! I have two at home and usually when the doe is about to give birth she creates a mound of fur from her belly to cover her babies for protection. Perhaps she was hoping not to be seen. We've gone rabbit hunting in the past and they will just stop and not move thinking that if they don't move we can't see them. This is obviously not a tactic that works.

o I hope she isnt hurt!!!

we had an invasion of rabbits once, actually the cat bought a couple of kits home and I took the babies off him, one was on the grass outside and my yougest daughter came tearing round the corner on the veranda and accidently did the whole 'bend it like Beckem' thing with it.,
It died..:(

Hopefully it's not an Easter bunny someone has abandoned...

Beautiful, serene creature. Mom and I had to stop for a rabbit crossing last time we visited my brothers. I wonder if there is some symbolic meaning to a rabbit visitation? Other than just how cool it is to see one, watch one.
