My friend John Jakobs, from up in Canada, sent me these photos. I am not sure who took them but I would like to Thank both John and the anonymous photographer for sharing them with us.
I have no idea what kind of bird this is...might be a grouse.

Wow those are some amazing shots! Thanks for sharing!
I'm always amazed at large birds sitting on the tippy-top of trees. I know bird bones are hollow, but I always feel like it should be tipping down more. Great photos! Love them!
Top photo of a male Ruffed Grouse, strutting his stuff. He must be a little confused, as it is winter and they don't usually do their dance until spring mating season ..
Good to see that John is visiting your BLOG ..
Nice photos !!!

Great pictures Rick! I love the second one of the fox and the moon picture is awesome too!
Really wonderful images; I'm sure you'll agree they are reminiscent of N.H. scenery too.
I really like the fish images bordering your blog. How did you do that? I would love to jazz mine up but not sure how.
Great shots! We have relatives in Winnipeg - I hope to visit them in the winter someday - I'd love to see that much snow!
Love the pictures of the river, they really set the scene. Certainly wish I could visit! For now though I will content myself with regular visits to your blog to immerse myself in your wonderful photos of the stunning scenery. Thanks
