I have been having a hard time sleeping at night. Last night I took one of Veronica's heavy duty sleeping pills and it knocked me on my butt. I woke up this morning at what I thought was 6:30. I washed up, got our lunches ready got our fishing gear all set up and then woke Veronica up.
Veronica got ready to go up and have breakfast with me. Next thing I know Veronica is telling me it was only 5:41 in the morning. I must have read the clock wrong in my heavily sedated state of mind.
We then went back to bed for an hour. We got up at 7 a.m. and went on up for breakfast.
After breakfast we met with our guide and headed out for fishing. The fishing was off today due to the wind changing direction several times.
We were able to catch a few fish for about a half an hour this morning and a half an hour this afternoon. We were able to catch several larger size walleyes, with the biggest being 26 inches long and Veronica caught a large northern pike which was 38 inches long.
When we came back in from fishing Veronica and I went into town to the tackle shop to purchase some much needed tackle. ( we had to replace the tackle we used from our guide)
We then went up for Steak and shrimp night in the lodge. Tonight we are going to relax and watch some dvd's ( chick flicks if Veronica has her way)
So, until tomorrow have tight lines and huge fish.

Holy big fishes, there, Big Daddy!!! awesome ... Veronica looks completely psyched! Do you guys keep them, or throw them back after photo ops?
All fish are thrown back into the water after our photo ops except for the small ones we keep for dinners.
