My First New Car

In 1973-1974, I got my very first new car. It was a Toyota Celica ST with a Landau roof. If I remember correctly, I paid about $3500 for the car....fully loaded with all of the extras After a number of years and after I paid off the car loan, I decided to fix the car up a bit. I put on duel exhausts rather than the single one, air shocks in the back and wider tires on brushed chrome wheels. I also had a Thrush muffler on it. Boy did this baby sound nice and look sharp too!!! It was my pride and joy. It was a sad day when I ended up having to get rid of it.
