Fireworks Gone Awry

This morning while going for my walk, I noticed a couple of small areas that were burning in some marshes in the bay behind our place.
Because of the size of these fires, I didn't give it much thought and figured that they were close to burning themselves out.
A couple of hours later I was at the pool and I stood up and saw that there was smoke and flames all over the place in the marshes.
I also noticed that there were a couple of vehicles from NC Forest Service parked at the boat ramp that is next to our pool.
As it turns out, the initial fire was started by fireworks and that this fire turned into a controlled burn.

The Best Is Yet To Come

This Thursday, 6/28, Veronica and I will be celebrating our 15th Anniversary.
Every Anniversary that Veronica and I celebrate is special.
I have found that each and every day that we are together is a special day and my love for her grows daily.
Although we will be giving each other a small gift on this special day, we are going to really celebrate our Anniversary while we are in Copenhagen Denmark, which will be in September before we embark on our cruise.
 I look forward to sharing many more Anniversaries with you.
Along with sharing our journey of life together, I also look forward to sharing our journeys of seeing the world together.
I truly believe that the best is yet to come for us .
You are my best friend, my love, my lover and my soul mate.
So on this upcoming day to celebrate our life together and the Anniversary of our marriage, and all of our days together before and after that special day....I deeply love you and I am deeply in love with you.
