It is a Giant Tigerfish (aka Goliath Tigerfish, African Tigerfish). Tigerfish and piranha belong to the same family (Characidae) but are entirely different species, according to someone well versed in such things. I believe that it was caught in the Amazon. that fish has the most amazing set of choppers.., wouldnt like to met him whilst swimming around in some jungle rock pool...

cool fish man..now I know another reason why not to go swimming in the Amazon..i'm gonna wait for those fish to turn vegetarian..
