Vegas Bound - But Not Bound In Vegas

First off, I would like to wish all of my readers, friends and their families from Canada.....HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!!!!

This upcoming Thursday morning, Veronica and I will be flying to Las Vegas. Veronica has a work related seminar/awards ceremony that she is attending there. For me...well...I am going along for the ride, the adventure, the sights and to see what all of this Sin City stuff is all about. Originally we were supposed to be staying at the The Venetian but yesterday we found out that they moved us to the Palazzo, which is the Venetians sister hotel. I went online to find out a little info about the Palazzo rooms and amenities. Here I thought that the Venetians 650 square foot suites were large but here are the stats on the Palazzo

20" LCD HDTV in the bathroom
130 square foot Bathroom
Roman tub with separate glass-enclosed shower
Adjacent water closet with telephone
Double sink vanity
Bath amenities by Agraria San Francisco™
Comfortable robes and oversized bath sheets
Sunken Living Room
L-Shaped full-sized sofa-sleeper

Private work area with:- Personal fax / printer / copier- Dual-line telephone- Wireless high-speed internet access

All of the above listed items and stats are for the smallest suites at the Palazzo. We will be staying at the Palazzo for 3 nights, returning home on Sunday. Thursday and Friday, Veronica has work related classes/events that she has to attend. Friday night she is free and we'll be going to the 9:30 showing of by Cirque du Soleil, which will be shown at the MGM Grand Hotel. Saturday she has the whole day to explore Las Vegas with me. There should be lots of things for me to photograph up and down the strip. And you never can tell who you might bump when you go to Vegas.

I was just checking through the room service menu and the first word that comes to mind when reviewing the prices being charged is....RIDICULOUS!!!

Here is an example of the cost for water:

They must feel the need to tell their customers the ph level of the water to justify what they are charging. I would sooner spend $20 at Bass Pro Shops for a water purification device and use it to purify the toilet water there, than I would give them what they are asking for this water. Like I said....RIDICULOUS!!!!!

Won't be long until it is time for me to get my "kink" on. Whip me....beat me...make me smile.

Saturday October 3rd and Sunday October 4th

Friday night we had to pre-pack the car because Saturday we had to get up early and head over to Newport, so that my Dad could make his dialysis appointment. The people at the center were nice enough to schedule my Dad early for his treatment. This worked out well because we had a 4 hour drive ahead of us as we made our way back home. It was still dark when we left our cabin for the final time, on Saturday morning. My Dad did not get out of his treatment until 12:30-1:00 in the afternoon. We mainly waited in the parking lot for my Dad to get finished with his dialysis treatment. Between that and the drive, it made for a long day. On Sunday morning, we got up early, stopped for breakfast and proceeded on our journey home. We got home at a decent hour...around 1:00 PM. After unpacking our suitcases, we relaxed and unwound a bit. With this our week long vacation was finished and now it is time to prepare for our next journey...Las Vegas. More to follow on that destination.
