I saw this on youtube last night and on the news tonight. It just goes to show, like you said, that you can't judge a book by it's cover. She has such an angelic voice. Thanks for sharing.

I have now viewed this via network news & other & now your post three times and I'll probably view it another three times because it is so "bloody wonderful" as Ms. Boyle puts it. Life can be amazing.

I watched this on T.V the other night, and the faces of the scrubbers in the audience, when Susan said she wanted to be a professional singer, The sniggers and upturned corners of the mouths, the scoffs and 'ur *($#%$ kidding, ugly cow'
And then she sang,,,,, and knocked them all for six.
Way to go Susan, you were magical, never let anyone tell u that u dont have what it takes.
Thanks again for the chance to view again.
Cheers

She's wonderful; I've been following this since I stumbled across the YouTube post of her audition. So lovely to watch skepticism and stereotyping be 100% SILENCED BY PURE TALENT. Someone yesterday sent me a link to her very first recording of Cry Me A River ... I just had tears streaming down my face from the emotional delivery and purity of it. I put the link on my blog in case you missed that one. They (the judges of that show) said they're not going to do a makeover on her, so she doesn't have the added anxiety of how she looks. But I have to wonder if maybe she wouldn't LOVE a makeover! She cracked me up cuz in one interview she said it was true that TV makes you look fat, "I looked like a garage."
